On behalf of the Parents and Teachers Association (PAT), welcome to
Brooklyn Friends School, a vibrant and diverse community. At Brooklyn
Friends, we believe that our children's success in school depends very
much on parent involvement. The gift of our time demonstrates our
commitment to the place that is so central to their lives.
The PAT's goal is to partner with the faculty and staff to create
the best environment for our children. Parents help us reach this goal
by volunteering their time or expertise on behalf of the school. Even a few hours is greatly appreciated and goes a long way towards keeping our community vital and strong.
An added benefit to involvement in the PAT is getting to know your
fellow parents -- some of the kindest, most interesting and exciting
people you'll ever meet. Many of our families have formed new
friendships through their participation in PAT activities, and they
report that their volunteerism is enormously gratifying.
