Thank you for visiting our website and taking the time to learn about the Family Center at Brooklyn Friends. Beginning this September 2011, the new Family Center program will be housed in a separate, stand-alone facility at 189 Schermerhorn Street, between Hoyt and Smith Streets. All Family Center children need to be two years old (at the start of the school year) to enroll in the program.
- Please note that the Family Center at Brooklyn Friends is not an automatic entry point for the BFS Preschool division at 375 Pearl Street. Application for the BFS Preschool 3s program and other 3s programs need to be made for the 2012-13 school year. This is a change in our practice now that the Family Center is a stand-alone program.
The admissions process for the 2012-2013 school year for the
Family Center at Brooklyn Friends begins with the student's family submitting a
completed application, along with the required $75 fee. We also encourage you to schedule an
admissions tour to see our program.
We begin accepting applications on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011. Complete your application as soon as possible, but no later than October 3, 2011. Please note, however, that because the volume of applications may far exceed the number of openings in certain classes, we may need to stop processing applications prior to the deadline. You will be contacted to let you know the status of your application.
