Applying to Preschool
|

Our admissions process begins with the student’s family submitting a completed application, along with the required application fee, to the Admissions Office. Please check the link on the left-hand menu for days and times of our classes in 2009-10.
We begin accepting applications Tuesday, September 2, 2008; this year’s deadline is Friday, September 26, 2008. However, because the volume of applications may far exceed the number of openings in certain classes, we may need to stop processing applications prior to the deadline. In this event, we will hold the application, and the application fee will not be processed. We will be in touch with you if there are openings and we can continue the application process.
STEP 1: Complete application and parent supplement, which may be downloaded here.
Please note that we will not have either a part-time Morning 2s class or an Afternoon 3s in the 2009-10 school year. Please do not check these boxes if you are using an application you downloaded before Sept. 1, 2008. Children in the Preschool 3s program and 4s program must be 3 and 4 years old respectively before October 1. Family Center children must be 20 months by the start of school.
STEP 2: Mail

- copy of birth certificate/passport
- check for $110 application fee to:

STEP 3: Arrange interview. We will call you to arrange an interview for you and your child after we receive your application, parent supplement, and application fee.
Application files must be complete by Feb. 6, 2009 in order to be notified on the ISAAGNY notification date of Tuesday, March 3, 2009.
Legacy Applicants (siblings and children of BFS alumni, faculty, staff and members of the NY Quarterly Meeting) may be eligible for early notification. Please contact the admissions office (718-852-1029 x213) for details.
