From wall to wall and floor to ceiling, the lower gym at 375 Pearl Street has been transformed into an exquisite visual arts gallery for the annual All-School Art Show. The exhibition opens on Friday, May 18 and runs through Wednesday, May 23. All members of the community are invited to attend the Art Show opening and reception on Friday evening, May 18 at 5 pm. Refreshments will be served and members of the Art Department will be on hand to greet visitors and offer personal tours of the show. Students and their families are encouraged to remain at school after the reception for a night of music at the annual Spring Concert. The Orchestra, Chorus, and Jazz Band will perform in the meeting house beginning at 6 pm.

Unique among school art exhibitions, the Brooklyn Friends School Art Show provides a platform for the creative talents of every student from preschool through middle school, and for all upper school students who study visual arts. The student works created during the past academic year include painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, mixed media, photography woodworking, and digital art. “The Art Show is one of the highlights of the school year at Brooklyn Friends; it is an event not to be missed,” said Head of School Michael Nill. “I am so proud of our students’ work and I am so appreciative of the dedication and expertise of our faculty, who bring this show to life each year.”
