Brooklyn Friends School alumnus Mark Zauderer '63 has offered a challenge to the parents of Brooklyn Friends to help increase parent participation in the Brooklyn Friends Fund, it was announced on March 1.
If your child’s class reaches:
• 80% participation by May 1st ... $1,000 will be donated to the Brooklyn Friends Fund.
• 80% participation by May 15th ... $750 will be donated to the Brooklyn Friends Fund.
• 80% participation by June 1st ... $500 will be donated to the Brooklyn Friends Fund.
• Does this mean you can give a smaller gift this year? While participation is vital to the success of the Brooklyn Friends Fund, we also rely on the generosity of our parents to help meet our $430,000 goal for this academic year. This challenge gift will help us achieve and maybe even surpass that goal!
• Do you normally give your gift in June? If you make your pledge now, it will count towards participation for your child’s class right away. Your actual gift just needs to be received by the Development office by June 30.
• A high participation rate in the Brooklyn Friends Fund shows to the outside community that we support our school, our teachers and have confidence and pride in the education that our children are receiving.
• A high participation rate shows prospective parents and students, future faculty and foundations that we believe in Brooklyn Friends and they should do so as well.
Our overall parent participation goal for the 2005-2006 Brooklyn Friends Fund is 80%... Where does your class stand?
