The Prep School Negro is a 52-minute documentary film by Andre Robert Lee that tells of his experience as a student at Germantown Friends School in Philadelphia in the 1980s. The film also presents the perspectives of contemporary students of color in independent schools. The film was a featured presentation at the National Association of Independent School's People of Color Conference held in Denver, CO, in December 2009. The March 15 screening is for students in grades 7-12 and adult members of the BFS community. A light supper and childcare will be provided, and admission is free.
