Upper School Honored as "Outstanding" NYC School
|

The
BFS Upper School has received the 2010 "Blackboard Award" as the
outstanding independent high school in New York City. Blackboard Awards
were established by Manhattan Media 10 years ago, with New York
University, New School University, and Fordham Law School among the
awards' sponsors. Honoring excellence in education, the awards pay
tribute to the city's top early education, elementary, middle and high
schools, both public and private. Upper School Head Roxanne Zazzaro
represented the school at a Nov. 1, 2010 awards ceremony hosted by WNYC radio
host Brian Lehrer. In accepting the award, she acknowledged "the BFS
students, faculty and staff whose hard work, dedication, and commitment
