Additional Volunteers Needed for Winter Festival -- Join Our Friday Morning Meetings!

Many thanks to everyone who has attended our first few meetings and volunteered to help with all of the moving parts that go into making the Winter Festival great! We are still looking for a few more volunteers both for pre-event planning and for the day of the Winter Festival. In particular, we are in need of volunteer photographers for the two days of the event, both to work in our Friendsapalooza photo booth Friday Night as well as to document all of the fun of the event itself.  As always, we will also gratefully accept toy and prize donations (more details as the event gets closer.) Child care will be provided for all parent volunteers on the day of the Winter Festival.

The Winter Festival is an exciting event full of fun for the entire BFS community and depends on parent volunteers for its success. We'll kick off the event on Friday, Dec. 2 with Friendsapalooza, the all-fun and music nighttime extravaganza for 8th through 12th grade students. Saturday's all-day event on Dec. 3 will feature the craft fair, craft-making for kids, an indoor carnival with bounce castles, face painting and entertainment galore, among other fun activities. If you are still looking for a fresh way to donate your time to BFS, your time and dedication are always appreciated. Join us at our next meeting, Friday, Nov. 4 at 8:30am in the Cafeteria. We will meet regularly on Fridays at 8:30am thereafter until the festival date. Please contact committee Co-Chairs Louise Olive or Susan Ferugio for more information or to sign up!!

Craft Fair Vendor Registration: Just a few tables remaining for interested parents and faculty! Sign up ASAP. Parents receive a 15% discount on tables and faculty and staff receive a 50% discount. Please complete the Vendor Registration Form and contact Vendor Coordinator Sonia Ives with any questions.

It's not only the curriculum and extracurriculars offered, but it's also the students and alumni that it sends out into the world. BFS prepares students for a lifetime of leadership and service. Gifts to the Brooklyn Friends Fund, the school's annual giving campaign, are integral to this process. With a goal of $750,000, every gift counts.
