SYNOPSIS
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat tells the Biblical story of Joseph and his 11 brothers almost entirely in music. The favored son of Jacob, Joseph is sold by his brothers into slavery in Egypt, where his dream-interpretation talents make him a favorite once again, this time of Pharoah. He is put in charge of Egypt, and when his foretelling of a famine comes to pass, he is put in a position of meeting up with his brothers. He pretends to be a stranger to them, pulls a trick on them, shows mercy, and finally reveals himself. By the end of the story, Joseph is joyfully reunited with his father.
