Learn from the Pros at Madison Square Garden |

BFS student athletes are invited to two special events at Madison
Square Garden. Please let Coach David know if you will be attending. 12/11 - Maggie Dixon Basketball Classic Meet & Greet @ Madison Square Garden 9:00am Liberty
Legends Kym Hampton and Sue Wicks, Liberty assistant coach Monique
Ambers, and WNBA Chief of Basketball Operations & Players Relations
Renee Brown will lead a panel discussion and workshop, starting at 9 am.
Student-athletes may also attend a meet and greet with New York Liberty
head coach John Whisenant at halftime of the first game. Players will
hear from former professional athletes and current professional coaches
about their careers and the next steps they took in their lives, and get
a perspective on the important values and skills athletes need, both in
the game and in life. Tickets are $30 each, which include the meet and
greet session, as well as the College Women's Basketball doubleheader
starting at 11:00am. The four women's college basketball teams playing
are Baylor, St. John's, Tennessee, and DePaul.
12/18 - New York Knicks Open Practice @ Madison Square Garden, 12 noon
All
BFS Upper School Basketball Players are invited to spend the afternoon
bonding with teammates and checking out the New York Knicks Open
Practice Event at MSG starting at 12:00pm. The NYK Players will be
involved in drills and skill work. There will be entertainment for
all. And it's also a chance to check out the first phase of the
renovated Garden. US Basketball Players please RSVP with Coach David in
Athletics ASAP. |
