This past Saturday, the PAT-sponsored Lower School Family Folk Dance provided great fun for more than 125 students, parents and staff! The Performing Arts Department Chair, Margaret Bary, and 4th grade callers led families through two hours of live music and dancing!  Special thanks to all the wonderful volunteers who made the afternoon run smoothly, including parents Melissa Coad, Susan Ferugio, Louise Olive and Louise Whittet along with 5th grade students  Emmanuel Ball-Storrow, Tolo Bickford, Chloe Calcagni, Will Coad, Devon Olive, Anna Polo and Leo Wizelman. Congratulations!
Jodi Kantor (fromjodikantor.net)
Jodi Kantor, mother of Talia Kantor Lieber (KC), is the author of the new book, The Obamas, about Barack and Michelle Obama's time in the White House. A narrative of the first couple's arrival and adjustment, successes and struggles in the strange new world of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, The Obamas is full of unknown, illuminating stories that will surprise even those familiar with the president and first lady. Jodi would love to see fellow BFS parents (and their friends and families) at these book events, including at Congregation Beth Elohim in Park Slope on Feb. 2, where she will be interviewed by Jonathan Safran Foer
