Come to the African American Celebration Feb. 3
The 17th annual African-American Celebration on Feb. 3, 2012 focuses on the Afro-Latino Experience, and will be dedicated to BFS faculty and community member, Norma Gordon (pictured), who is retiring in June after more than 30 distinguished years at Brooklyn Friends.

What's in store? There is a pre-celebration gathering with activities for young children, starting at 5:30 pm in the lower gym,  followed by a Latino-themed dinner in the cafeteria at 6:00 pm, and performances at 7:00 pm with special guest musicians, the Colombian band FOLKLORE URBANO.  Scroll down for the complete schedule, or download an information sheet.
