All Together Now for the
Fifth Annual
BFS Family Day of Service
Sponsored by the PAT and the Community Service Office, the BFS
Family Day of Service will take place on Saturday,
April 14, from
11 am to 2 pm. The base of operations for projects will be in the
cafeteria.
This is an opportunity to spend an hour or two working together
with your family to benefit our neighbors, our community, and our
environment—and have fun while you do it!
Service projects will offer opportunities to participate for people
of all ages, from preschool through adult.
- Create tactile decorations for the preschool program at Helen
Keller Services for the Blind
- Paint and plant flower containers to beautify our school’s
entrance
- Knit blankets for babies with AIDS
- Make eco-packets to distribute to friends and neighbors,
with
information about ways to help our environment
- Decorate colorful cards for the elderly and homebound
- Spruce up Cadman Plaza Park, in conjunction with
Partnership for Parks
- Help make a banner to encourage caring for our environment
At 2 pm, we’ll gather to march with our environmental
banner around the farmer’s market at Cadman Plaza, handing
out eco-packets to neighbors.
Participants are encouraged to wear clothes that can get dirty
or stained, if you plan to paint, plant, or rake!
