Fundamentals of Estate
Planning Seminar
Returns on February 20 and April 17
Wills. Living trusts. Joint tenancy. Community property. Gift taxes.
Estate Taxes. Guardianship for minor children. These are some of
the topics often discussed in Estate Planning, a term that refers
to the use, conservation and disposition of a person's property and
wealth during one’s lifetime and after death. And while it
may at times seem anxiety-producing, it’s never too soon to
learn about the fundamentals of estate planning to minimize taxes
and make provisions for your family.
As a service to parents, faculty/staff, grandparents and alumni,
Brooklyn Friends School annually offers a “Fundamentals of
Estate Planning” seminar conducted by alumnus Richard Cutler,
Esq.’62.
This informative event, for BFS families, faculty and friends,
takes place on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 from
8 to 10 am in the third floor library conference room. The seminar
will be repeated on Thursday, April 17, 2008, 8
to 10 am.
At the seminar, Richard presents estate planning concepts and
answers your questions in easy-to-understand terms. Topics may include
federal estate and gift taxes, wills and living trusts, and passing
assets on to heirs without gift and estate taxes. Learn the questions
to ask your lawyer.
Richard’s seminars have become so popular that we are offering
two sessions this year. No matter which seminar you choose to attend,
you will learn the basics and some of the finer points of estate
planning in a relaxed environment.
Space is limited. Please register by February 19 for the February
Seminar and by April 11 for the April seminar, with Susan Price,
Director of Alumnae/i. Phone: 718-852-1029, ext. 208 or E-mail: sprice
