A Singular
Sensation: The Fourth Grade Halloween Dance
A treasured BFS tradition for the past 24 years, the Fourth Grade
Halloween Dance Performance took place in the lower gym on October
31 to the delight of parents, family members, and students from preschool
through third grade.
Bats, zombies, ghosts, dragons, and scary beasts came to life in
the student-choreographed performance, which interpreted an eerie,
spooky Halloween recording that seemed to be straight out of a 1950’s
horror movie.
Dressed in black outfits decorated with yellow, orange, and green
stripes, the students performed as part of an ensemble and in groups.
In one section of the piece, they worked in trios to create imaginary
creatures. Later on, groups of five performed together. The fourth
graders also designed their own costumes and make-up for the performance,
a feat of skill and imagination.
Bravo and congratulations to the dancers, their fourth grade teachers,
and dance teacher Margaret Bary.
