Top 10 Reasons to Attend the BFS Winter Festival |
|
10. Two words: Bouncy Ride. Our children's carnival in the upper gym will have the famous bouncy ride and many other games for kids of all ages to enjoy! As special treat this year, Middle Schoolers have the bouncy ride to themselves from 12:30 to 1 pm, and parent volunteers are invited on the bouncy ride exclusively from 3:30 to 4 pm.
9. Friendsapalooza! Our 1st annual event specifically for our 8th to 12th grade students. Come Friday night for great
live music, a skateboarding demonstration, exciting give aways
(including the just-released DJ Hero for XBox) and much, much more.
8. Support local artists! Browse hundreds of handcrafted designs by more than 45 local vendors including BFS faculty/staff Jennifer Knies, Crystal Backus, Ellen Kahan, Madame Marie-Christine Perry, Chef Tom Buckley, Hannah Williams and Erica Lee.
7. Make your own crafts! Put your creative hats on to make your own hot
chocolate kit and enjoy finger knitting and other exciting projects.
6. Food, food, and more food! Including cupcake decorating and a festive bake sale, in the BFS cafeteria. In addition to parent-made food, we have entrees from more than 15 local eateries!
5. A seasonal Book Fair in the third floor library!
4.
A toy drive! Donate a new toy to the St. John's Place Family Center and
Shelter and help a child in need enjoy their holiday season as well.
3. A festive Spanish reading room! Celebrate the inauguration of
the Lower School Spanish program and join special guests (including
Eddie!) for a fiesta and readings of books in Spanish.
2. A photography studio! Take your own picture with your best
buddies, print the image of your choice and decorate a picture frame.
